Club Development Program
APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING ARE NOW CLOSEDThe Club Development Program provides funding to eligible organisations to undertake education and training initiatives, participation initiatives, organisational planning and to recognise volunteer support.
Important Dates
Applications close 5:00pm Friday 27 June 2008
Projects can commence on or after 1 October 2008
and must be completed by 30 September 2009
Organisations Eligible to Apply
Your organisation is eligible to apply if you are:
- a not-for-profit sport or recreation organisation or a community organisation (whose primary objective is sport or recreation) incorporated under:
- the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Queensland);
- the Companies (Application of Laws) Act 1981 (Queensland);
- the Corporations Act 2001 (Commonwealth);
- an incorporated university sports club;
- an approved unincorporated organisation (as detailed below); or
- an organisation with not-for-profit sport or recreation objectives approved by the Minister for Sport.
Auspicing of an approved unincorporated organisation
If you are an eligible unincorporated organisation, you will need an auspice to apply for Club Development Program funding.
An auspicing organisation is an incorporated organisation that agrees to accept legal and financial responsibility for the grant. The roles and responsibilities of an auspicing organisation are provided below under Supporting Information.
Eligible auspicing partnerships are as follows:
- an unincorporated schoolsports club auspiced by a State school established under the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006;
- an unincorporated university sports club auspiced by a public university; or
- an unincorporated university sports club auspiced by an incorporated university sports association.
Submitting a funding application
To assist you in understanding the application process, it is recommended that you read the Club Development Program 2008 Guidelines. This will help in providing you with the necessary information to ensure that both your organisation and the proposed project are eligible to submit an application for funding under this Program.
