Activities for one

  • Balancing act - try balancing on one leg and then the other and see how long you can do it.  Then try it with your eyes shut.
  • Keep it up - try and keep a balloon off the ground with as many hits as possible.
  • Bean bag balance - balance a beanbag on different parts of your body.  Walk with it on your head.  Sit down without it falling off.  Try throwing it in the air and then see how many times you can clap before you have to catch it.
  • Tummy rub - try rubbing your tummy while patting your head and then reverse it.
  • Bucket ball - stand three or four metres from a bucket and throw a ball underarm into the bucket.  See how far away from the bucket you can get while still getting the ball in.
  • Bounce ball - count how many times you can bounce a ball on a hard surface in one minute.
  • More ball tricks - throw a ball in the air with one hand then catch it with the other.  Hold a ball between your knees and jump up and down withough dropping it.
